The Transterre symposium, organized under the scientific responsibility of Emilie GAILLARD, Bénédicte BEVIERE-BOYER and Amandine CAYOL in a webinar on June 26, 2023, aims to engage multidisciplinary and international reflection on the biological and technoscientific evolutions likely to disrupt the integrity of the planet and its ecosystems.
The challenge of this meeting, which will bring together researchers, legal practitioners and geoengineers, is to lead discussions combining hard sciences, human sciences, law, ethics, philosophy, sociology and the anthropology of techniques, in order to better understand the impact of geoengineering on the integrity of living organisms and the planet as a whole.
The participation of contributors from all over the world, taking into account the diversity of cultures, will enable us to share our thoughts on the future of the human planet in a global dimension.
This event is part of the trilogy of the bioethics research line, following on from 1 Transhumanism in the age of ameliorative medicine, and 2 Transanimalism
